RCT

Also known as · randomized controlled trial · randomised controlled trial

Randomized Controlled Trial — a study design that randomly assigns participants to intervention or control groups to minimize bias.

The methodological gold standard for testing causal claims about an intervention's effect. Most regulatory approvals require at least two well-powered RCTs with consistent findings. Peptidepedia reserves evidence grade A or S for compounds with replicated RCT support.
