Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide GHRP (growth-hormone-releasing peptide), originally developed by Helsinn / Novo Nordisk as a candidate for GH-deficiency states. Clinical development was discontinued. Now ubiquitous in the grey-market peptide trade, often co-marketed with CJC-1295.

Claims vs evidence

  • Increased lean mass / fat loss — small early-phase data, never replicated in pivotal trials
  • “Side-effect-free GH boost” — preclinical selectivity claims not re-examined in modern trials

Why we grade it D

No regulatory authorisation, no completed Phase 3, no current sponsor. Sold via grey channels under stacking protocols (ipamorelin + CJC-1295) that have no published clinical support. The early Phase 2 data is decades old and never replicated.
