Molecular information

- Modified GHRH analogue (29 AA) · prolonged GH release · grey-market protocols add DAC linker
CJC-1295 is a modified GHRH(1-29) analogue, originally developed by ConjuChem as a long-acting variant via a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) linker covalently bound to albumin. Clinical development was halted after adverse cardiac events in trials of the DAC-modified version. The non-DAC variant is now sold through grey-market channels for “GH-boost” protocols.
Claims vs evidence
- Sustained GH elevation — pharmacology supports a short-term IGF-1 rise
- Body-composition benefit — no published RCT in non-deficient adults
Why we grade it D
Original DAC formulation discontinued after safety signals; no follow-up sponsor; no current authorisation. The grey-market variant (“modified GRF 1-29”) is sold without identity verification or batch testing in most EU jurisdictions. Swissmedic has issued specific warnings.
