Lyophilized

Also known as · freeze-dried · lyo

Freeze-dried into a stable powder by sublimation under vacuum after freezing in solution.

Lyophilized peptides have excellent long-term stability under refrigeration but require reconstitution with bacteriostatic water before use. A properly lyophilized peptide appears as a white, fluffy 'cake' filling the vial; a collapsed or melted appearance indicates degradation during shipping.
